Objective
To unite wavesailors together, enable involvement of wavesailors of varying skill levels to socialise and compete in a friendly motivating environment. It is not intended to create elaborate events (which mean intensive organization permits, safety boats, Even Director, non-sailing judges, installations on beach etc.)

Tasks
Run 2 to 3 wavesailing competition events at well known wavesailing locations around Victoria on specific weekends given appropriate weather conditions.
Run a fun event that incorporates freesailing and judged competition which ultimately determines a Victorian wavesailing champion at the completion of the season.
Produce a website to inform Victorian wavesailors when the upcoming events are happening and current championship rankings. Website could include pictures, sponsors, videos etc.

Back at last!

A series of one-day Wave events in "nomadic" style, at various possible locations from Sandy Pt to Torquay.

This is a RELAXED series, organised by wavesailors for wavesailors - not a PWA gig!!

It is designed for everyone from experts to first-timers ... our next JP, our many regular waveriders, our Bay crew, our youngsters, plus windsurfers just keen to learn more about the art of wavesailing in a very social setting - with trophies and prizes in lots of different categories.

The format is simple - the organisers fix potential weekends for the events, and hold as many as possible, but go ahead on a particular weekend only if the forecast looks right - late in the week, the WindGurus announce Saturday or Sunday or Cancelled, Where, What Time etc.

All this = maximum time on the water, minimum waiting around, maximum fun!

The Victorian Wavesailing Series (VWS) are to be an informal series of wave sailing competitions that run with minimum organization effort, maximum sailing time, and minimum loitering.
So mark your diaries now with the Series "windows" -

• 5th or 6th December
• 9th or 10th January
• 13th or 14th February
• 13th or 14th March

Plus the legendary SHQ Cup Weekend Regatta held at Sandy Pt will count towards State Title rankings 31 October to 3 November

Entry will be free! - just complete the Entry Form, and get Public Liability insurance via WV/AWA membership
