Downwind foiling is one of the newest and most exciting foil disciplines. Downwinding is catching wind driven swell lines out in the open ocean. This is usually done with a long narrow board and a SUP paddle.
The tricky part of this sport is generating the speed to catch the swell and engage the foil but once you are up the feeling of being out on swell unencumbered by wind sports gear is second to none.
